Sustainable Leadership System™ — Terms of Use

The Service is a leadership-development and consulting resource for examining leadership environments. It helps you observe and organise information, consider the relationships between Outcomes, Behaviors, Environment, and Leadership, become oriented within the Sustainable Environment Pathway™, identify areas that may deserve attention, and consider what to do next.

The Service supports your judgment. You remain responsible for your leadership, employment, organisational, personnel, and business decisions. No particular result or outcome is guaranteed.

The consultant is an interactive consulting experience that applies Sustainable Leadership principles and framework. It may offer observations, questions, interpretations, an orientation, areas worth examining, and directions you might consider.

Consultant responses are generated using artificial intelligence and software, and they can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. The consultant is decision support, not a substitute for your own judgment or for professional advice.

The Environmental Review evaluates an environment. It does not grade, certify, diagnose, or evaluate the worth, competence, character, or leadership ability of any leader or employee.

A Pathway orientation describes where an environment appears to be based on the information available. It depends on the information you provide, is not independently verified fact, and is not a guarantee.

The Service may provide direction, possibilities, and matters to examine. The decision about what to do remains yours.

Do not rely on the Service as the sole basis for significant employment, disciplinary, termination, compensation, promotion, legal, financial, medical, safety, or other high-impact decisions. Consult qualified professionals where appropriate.

The usefulness of the Service depends on what you tell it. You agree not to knowingly provide false or misleading information in order to cause harmful or deceptive conclusions.

Do not enter information you are not authorised to disclose. Avoid unnecessary identifying details or highly sensitive information about third parties, and comply with your organisation's policies and applicable law.

You retain ownership of the content you provide. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, store, and use that content in order to operate, secure, maintain, and provide the Service to you.

We do not acquire ownership of your content merely through your use of the Service. Our Privacy Policy governs how information is handled.

Feedback you send is voluntary, and we may use it to evaluate, improve, develop, and operate the Service without compensation to you.

We will not publicly attribute feedback to you, or use your name, organisation, photograph, or a testimonial publicly, without your permission.

Keep your credentials protected, provide accurate account information, and notify us if you become aware of unauthorised access to your account. Do not attempt to circumvent membership or subscription requirements.

Complimentary, beta, and pre-release access may change, contain errors, or be discontinued.

Beta participation does not require favorable feedback, an endorsement, a testimonial, or a public review. Candid feedback is welcome.

Free account. A free account with a confirmed email address includes the complete book as a downloadable PDF and one complete Environmental Review (one per person; additional accounts for the same person or mailbox do not receive another). Reasonable daily usage limits apply to accounts without membership. Paid membership is offered as Monthly Membership, $9.50 USD per month, or Annual Membership, $74 USD per year charged upfront, each plus applicable taxes; both provide the same membership access. Prices and applicable tax are shown before you confirm a purchase at checkout. The former $12.95 initial experience, the former $20 monthly membership, the former $175 annual price, the $50 one-time Environmental Review, the $50 Try It First credit, and the $20 book-code credit, and the former $49 annual price are no longer offered for new purchases; any existing purchase or subscription continues under the terms that applied when it was made.

Membership is a recurring subscription. Monthly Membership renews automatically each month and Annual Membership renews automatically each year until cancelled. There is no minimum commitment, and no partial refunds are given for an unused period except where required by law. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account. Cancellation stops future renewal; membership access continues through the period you have already paid for and then ends. Your saved Review work is preserved.

Initial Environmental Review. The free account, the printed book, earlier $12.95 purchases, and certain earlier authorized offers each provide one complete initial Environmental Review (one per participant), including Current Orientation and the opportunity to engage with What Now. Membership is not required to receive the results of that Review. Membership purchases continuity, not withheld results.

Retention of an initial Review is your choice. Until you choose "Save My Baseline & Continue" and hold qualifying membership access, an initial Review is not added to your Environmental Scoreboard or used as memory in future Reviews. If you choose "Finish Without Saving", or make no choice within 14 days of your last activity, the Review, its conversation, and the environment details created for it are deleted, except records we must keep for operational, security, accounting, or legal reasons. Deleted data may persist in routine backups until those backups expire.

Sponsored membership. An organization or partner may pay for a participant's annual membership. Payment by another party does not give that party access to your Environmental Reviews, Environmental Scoreboard, What Now discussions, Current Orientation, communications, or other confidential information.

Ending a membership does not delete your work. Completed Environmental Reviews and your Environments are preserved and remain readable where appropriate, while new consultant activity requires current access.

Refund handling is described in Section 11 (Refunds).

When purchase or checkout terms are offered, those terms become part of these Terms for that purchase.

If you believe a charge was made in error or you have a concern about a purchase, contact support@sustainableleadershipsystem.com.

Refund requests will be considered based on the circumstances of the purchase and applicable law.

Sustainable Leadership — Digital Edition: all sales are final and non-refundable. The Digital Edition is a downloadable digital product delivered to your account immediately upon payment, and once that access has been provided the purchase cannot be returned or refunded. This provision applies only to the Digital Edition and does not change membership provisions. If a payment dispute or chargeback is ultimately resolved against the purchase, Digital Edition access may be ended.

Cancelling a membership stops future renewal but does not ordinarily refund the current paid membership period. Membership access continues through the applicable paid-through date unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed by Sustainable Leadership System™.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

The Service and its frameworks, methodologies, software, designs, branding, and materials are owned or licensed by us and protected by applicable law. This includes the Sustainable Leadership System™, the Sustainable Leadership Diagnostic Pyramid™, the Sustainable Environment Pathway™, the Environmental Review, the Environmental Scoreboard, and related proprietary consulting methodology.

You receive a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Service. No ownership is transferred to you.

You agree not to:

The Service evolves. Features may change or be discontinued, and access may be affected by maintenance, security work, or legal restrictions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

The Service provides leadership-development, educational, and consulting support. It is not legal, medical, mental-health, accounting, tax, investment, HR-compliance, or other licensed professional advice unless expressly stated.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, error-free operation, or the completeness, accuracy, suitability, or results of any output.

Rights that cannot be waived under applicable law are preserved.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, opportunities, goodwill, or data.

Our aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US$100. Exceptions required by statute are preserved.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violation of these Terms, unlawful or abusive use, security reasons, nonpayment where applicable, or threats to people or the Service. Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

You can delete your account yourself from the Account page while signed in. Doing so permanently removes your Environments, Reviews, Scoreboard records, conversations, and account data, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or backup purposes.

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will provide reasonable notice. The effective date above identifies the current version.

The Service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an account.
